Pre-Painted Steel

Cascadia Metals carries an extensive selection of pre-painted steel products in both coil and sheet form:

SMP Colors

Silicon modified polyester (SMP) pre-painted steel is available in over 33 different colors. It is offered in 22 gauge to 30 gauge as regular stock, while 18 gauge and 20 gauge material is available by special order.

Though standard widths of the product range in sizes from 30" and 36" to 48", we have the facilities to process the master coils to almost any width required.

SMP pre-painted steel is a high quality painted steel product with many uses in the building trades, has a life expectancy of 30+ years, and is available with our in-house warranty.

PVDF/Kynar

Kynar*, or Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) pre-painted 55% Al-Zn Steel, is available in over 22 different colors. This material is the highest quality painted steel product currently on the market and has found many uses in the building trades.

It is offered primarily in 24 gauge, while 22 and 26 gauge are available on special order. Though this product is available almost exclusively in 48" widths, we're able to process these coils to whatever widths and lengths of sheet or coil required.

Printed Steel

Printed steel (see photo on this page) is a new product being offered to the market. It is a printed paint system on a 55% Al-Zn Steel base, and is currently available in Cascadia Copper and Vintage Copper prints. New additions to our Printed Steel line are Aged Copper, Rustic Red, Light Zinc, and Dark Zinc prints.

Printed steel is the latest addition to Cascadia Metals’ selection of products. Using ink instead of paint, the mill rolls digital patterns onto the steel. Many different prints, in wood grain, brick, shingle, cobblestone, and marble form, are available. Talk to a sales representative for more information as this method offers an economical and long-lasting alternative to more costly brick, hardwood, and copper walls and roofs.

Cool Colors

Our new Cascadia Cool™ line of energy efficient "SOLAR REFLECTIVE" colors will enable builders and architects alike to provide energy friendly buildings which will ultimately be a benefit to our environment for generations to come.

With massive climate changes occurring all over the world, building designers and construction professionals are leading the way in the drive to use more energy friendly products in their buildings.

Cascadia Cool™ is such a building material. Its reflective qualities allow a building to be kept cooler in the summer months by actually reflecting the harmful rays of the sun.

Traditionally, the use of air conditioning equipment has kept these temperature levels low and comfortable. However, with the rise in energy consumption and the cost of oil, gas, and electricity, building owners have become more conservative with the use of cooling systems. A roof with a heat-reflective component in the paint helps alleviate the cost associated with the use of cooling systems.
