Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to move material within the warehouse and yard
- Organizing and sorting material for loading and space optimization
- Scanning loads with an RF scanner
- Reading paperwork to ensure accuracy of load
- Double checking loads for accuracy
- Poly wrap trucks
- Assisting the receiver and covering
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have forklift experience and license

- Crane experience is preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Mill/ Origin agent to obtain material cargo readiness dates.
- Negotiate with ocean carriers;
- breakbulk parcels,
- Annual Service Contracts (container and trucking companies for dedicated routes for Ontario East) with Cascadia Metals
- Negotiate with Discharge Port Terminals;
- For on Doc Charge (i.e., THC) to "first place of rest."
- To accept inbound parcels in full
- Problem Solve overages & shortages (identified at discharge port) with all parties in the Supply Chain (i.e., Mill, Carrier & Port Terminals)
- Review and manage Incoming ocean freight;
- Bulk ships, container ships, negotiation of container contracts, negotiating port contracts, booking of bulk shipment coming in via ocean freight, that we are responsible for
- Investigate / Mitigate Damage & Detention Claims with Carriers
- Work closely with Sales & Operations for the seamless movement of cargo from origin to destination
- Documentation ( All Material Types Shipping Breakbulk/ Container)
- Update SteelPlus PO Line Notes to affect amounts produced/shipped and ETA Vancouver port

Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in fields related to contract administration, business administration and supply chain.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to proper procedure and safety regulations to working on assigned machines and equipment, ensuring correct personal protective equipment is used at all times
- You prepare, set up, and clean the machines before starting work, after completing work, and as required.
- You review, troubleshoot, and repair any quality control issues with the Quality Control Inspector and your team leader and/or supervisor
